There isn't much time left.  If you haven't finished your Christmas shopping by now, then maybe I caught you just in time.  There isn't much time left.  Every 45 seconds a child dies needlessly in Africa from a disease that could have been prevented and treated.  Every 45 seconds a child dies from Malaria.  The United Methodist Church has taken on a powerful goal.  We have decided as a church worldwide to eradicate Malaria on the continent of Africa.  This goal is doable, and we have been making progress.  Why have people like Bill & Melinda Gates decided to support this project and use the United Methodist Church as a key agent?  Because we have the people on the ground and the relationships needed to effectively implement this program which will save lives.  And it is working.  This year Little Prairie will be giving a Christmas Gift.  We will be giving the gift of life, to hopefully over 100 children who will be saved through this program.  You see a gift of $10 saves a life.  On Christmas Eve we will be collecting a special offering for Imagine No Malaria.  Just this week I received a phone call from an anonymous donor who is willing to match our offering up to $500.  On top of that, any gifts we turn in to our conference before the end of the year will also be matched.  That means a gift of $25 can save up to 10 lives! We invite you to join us in the effort to eradicate malaria through this program.  Please prayerfully consider making a gift to Imagine No Malaria this Christmas, and join us in our special offering on Christmas Eve.  Together we can save lives.
