The Walking Dead:
​Encounters with Resurrection

"Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it. What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?"  Mathew 16:25-26


After Jesus rose from the dead, he continued to teach his disciples for forty days.  What did he have yet to teach them?  We are called to be the walking dead, ​following Jesus to a new way of living, a new way of understanding, a life after resurrection.

You have already been called, all of us have been called… If you call yourself a Christ-follower, you have been called. 
 It’s time to be sent. 
This Lent we will examine the many people in Scripture who have answered God’s call, as well as the many around us who inspire us to do the same.
